South Coast Christian Community Care

South Coast Christian Community Care (SCCCC) is a local charity that provides assistance to those in the community who are doing it tough. This assistance comes in many forms including emergency food parcels and so, throughout each month, Fleurieu Family Church collects donated food items to support the work of SCCCC.

Items needed on an ongoing basis so that food parcels can be handed out include:

  • Full cream long life milk.
  • Jams, spreads, peanut butter, vegemite.
  • Tinned soups and ring top stews.
  • Weet-Bix or other cereals.
  • Tinned peas, corn, beans, carrots etc.
  • Tinned tuna.
  • Pasta.
  • Red pasta sauce.
  • Tinned fruit.
  • Coffee, tea, milo/hot chocolate.
  • Sugar.
  • Biscuits.
  • Snack food for children.
  • Deodorant sticks.
  • Shampoo & Conditioner.
  • Toilet rolls.

All items are stored in pantries on-site so they need to be long-life rather than ‘fresh’ produce.  South Coast Christian Community Care also graciously accepts donations that enables them to help needy with meeting immediate needs such as buying medication, personal hygiene items, putting some fuel in the car, helping out with electricity bills, and more.  Local business provide support too, such as bakery goods.
